Meet Autumn, the one-of-a-kind American Girl.
She was created from a new Truly Me #37 American Girl doll. Her unique eyes are hand painted in emerald, gold, and umber tones. Acrylic paint was used to add feathered eyebrows, delicate eyelashes, freckles, shimmer blush, and glossy rose lip shading. Although all paint has been sealed with Professional Liquitex, this doll should be handled gently.
Autumn's custom long auburn wig has been permanently attached with waterproof craft contact adhesive, E6000. It is heat safe and tangle resistant. This hair can be gently washed, brushed, and styled just like an AG wig.
Her handmade outfit was designed just for her. The cotton floral dress has serged seams, a lined bodice, and hook and loop closure. The empire waist is adorned with a silk ribbon and rhinestone buckle. Silk leaves, flower, and ribbons decorate her wide-brimmed hat, which is crocheted from soft plum acrylic yarn.
Also included is a cotton beige petticoat with an elastic waistband and lace trim.
I have customized this doll in my smoke-free, pet-free studio. There may be light marks/shines/rubs on the vinyl from handling during customization. I have replaced the zip tie at her neck with a new neck string. Autumn will arrive with her own Artist's Certificate of Authenticity.
