    My children, grand children and I enjoy finding these pottery pieces on my property. I live close to a river and there is also a little steam close by. The Apalachee Indians inhabited this area before the white man came to town in the 1800's. This town and a river are named after this tribe of Indians. Some of the pottery pieces have been dated back to 1100 to 1300 AD
