This case has a small tear in the handle. The tear is in two parts. They do not connect and they do not go through even half way. Unless you grab and yank the case around, this handle should be good for over 10 years and probably closer to 20 years.
It is solid material, and the leather-type material is thick. That is why I stated it should last 20 years.
