    Description

2003-12 December 100 YEARS OF FLIGHT National Geographic Map Poster School
Millions of people fly each year, but on the first flight in 1903, there was only one person onboard a plane that traveled only 120 feet in 12 seconds. This is a study of how we got from that point to today. The poster-side of this study shows the airplanes in scale and with a description from the original Wright Brothers plane to the Northrop B-2 Spirit stealth bomber. The reverse-side tells the story of the individual flight pioneers from 1903 to 2003, with a map of the world's first flights and photographs of pilots and planes.
    Map is approximately 20” x 31".
The National Geographic is known for it's fine maps & detailed information.
Supplement to the National Geographic Magazine; magazine is not included.
