This book describes mechanical and/or styling improvements of vehicles by explaining in detail how vehicles changed from the previous year. You will find detailed mechanical Mechanical drawings, interior/exterior photos & dimensions, and optional equipment/accessories, lists of interior-exterior paint combos. .
You’ll find out details of exterior styling explained by series, including explanations of the different body styles available in each series. See black and white diagrams of the interior pointing out different types of fabric “interior trim detail.” You’ll also see drawings of new features, such as emblems, parking lamps, door handles, hub caps, headlights, fender moldings, steering wheels, the new lighted hood ornament, full-flow oil filter, panoramic windshield, and new radio controls. Find out how the 1955 changed from the 1954 models, with descriptions of new mechanical features like the cowl ventilation system, improved door locks, hood latch and hinges, 12 volt electrical system, new frame, improved front suspension, rear springs, larger front brakes, clutch improvements, new muffler, new steering gear, dual range Hydra-Matic, revised power steering, heating and air conditioning, power brakes, radio, new accessories, and 36 pages about the new “Strato-Streak” V8 engine. There’s a 3 page supplement in the front for the 4 barrel carburetor. The book concludes with 28 pages of specifications for things like exterior dimensions, engine, cooling system, transmission, suspension, brakes , frame, and lamps.
