    This map opens to a generous 56 x 103 cm [22" x 41"] and is drawn on a scale of 1:40,000,000.
    It is color coded by terrain (Desert & Wasteland, Farmland & Prairie, Arctic Tundra, and Forest), and it shows international boundaries as of September 1, 1939.
    This map was published by the National Geographic Society in April 1943 and is titled
    Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
